Seoul fears that the growing economy of North Korea went to China
Seoul, December 23 (EFE): South Korea said that its northern neighbor will have to rely on China for its stability after the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, noting that this requires procedures for the face.
The value of trade between North Korea and China, about one billion dollars in 2003 and two billion in 2008 and three billion dollars in 2010, is expected to reach six billion dollars this year.
According to today's Korean Agency for promotion of trade and investment (KOTRA), it is expected to reach the trade dependence on China, North Korea, 90% over 2011.
It is noteworthy that the value of inter-Korean trade declined because of the increasingly deteriorating relations between them after the sinking of a ship (Cheonan) South, and an attack on the island of Pyongyang (Yeonpyeong) border.
The value until October / last October, down $ 1.4 billion of more than 12% over the same period last year.
Most of the analysis indicate that Beijing will provide support to North Korea despite the fact that its economy is suffering from difficulties in witnessing a slowdown in the growth rate in 2012, and forecasts show a decline due to the crisis in Europe.
There are views of the dominant suggest that over-reliance on North Korea to China is not useful for South Korea, and that "procedures should be prepared for confrontation through careful study of China's strategy in seeking to break the American hegemony." (EFE)
