Serbian Djokovic donates to UNICEF
The Organization of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic donated 100 thousand dollars to UNICEF in the country.
Said Djokovic, who was appointed ambassador for UNICEF in Serbia since August / August, in a statement: "I hope that my donation will help and my support in bringing about change in the lives of children in Serbia, especially those who do not have only limited access to their ends."
Djokovic says that he wants to help the groups most at risk are children, the disabled and those belonging to the Roma minority in Serbia, one of the less affluent countries in Europe and home to tens of thousands of refugees since the conflict that devastated the former Yugoslavia.
Djokovic and ascended the top of the rankings of the ATP in 2011, which culminated in which three titles in the championships, "Grand Slam" Big Four, of the total ten titles won throughout the season.
